Aion Riftshade

Hey everyone,

I've been into Aion since the retail days way back, starting 12 years ago😃 until I paused in 2016

Lately, I've been considering a comeback on a private server because Gameforge totally messed up the game.

With that in mind, my question is: how balanced is the server?

And what class should I choose?

I usually go with Asmos, but I'm flexible to join Elyos if Asmos are too dominant.

Regarding class: is there a particular one in demand? My go-tos on retail were Cleric and Templar, with Ranger being my fun DPS choice.

I’d truly appreciate any suggestions to help me decide.

On a side note, I'm actually part of the Aion Riftshade beta, and it's incredibly promising. They're launching in Q1 2026 and it feels like the best Aion private server of 2026. Balancing classes has been a focus, and they offer amazing features like active GvG, comprehensive PvP & PvE rankings, and integrated DPS meters similar to MyAion. If balance is what you're looking for, Aion Riftshade is setting the bar high!
