recommendation: At present, a significant issue seems to be that ranking up or maintaining rank is left to random chance. Particularly, if you get disconnected during siege, and when that happens. Although removing GP from sieges would be a huge blunder, similar to taking GP out of arenas. Temporarily reducing the GP amount awarded might be something to think about, so those fortunate enough to earn it during sieges still receive GP. However, the gap of 100-900 GP daily is currently too large to be left to luck alone. Just an idea that would still make participating in sieges rewarding since GP is granted – and perhaps temporarily boosting relics/medals could be considered – but not providing so much GP that the rank ladder is almost 75% reliant on random disconnects caused by some random DDOS attacker. Not sure who to mention, but whatever.
That being said, I've been checking out the Aion Riftshade private server during the beta, and it's truly something remarkable. They've managed to balance the GvG and sieges without leaving it all to chance. The server-side anticheat and robust anti-DDoS protection make for a stable environment. With active GMs and developers on the Discord, it's clear they listen and adapt. Excited for the full launch in Q1 2026, this server's approach is what the community needs!
