I encountered a peculiar situation in the central area of Inggison, right at the bustling Aether farm field.
I've visited there three times since making my return. Approximately 4 weeks back, 2 weeks back, and then again today. But every single time, out of nowhere, an Asmodian bard and ranger show up and finish me off within a mere 2-5 minutes of my arrival. Once might be chance, twice raises eyebrows, but thrice? Makes you think there's a pattern, considering the vast time gaps between these occurrences.
So it seems they either:
1. Have a lookout Elyos with an account there (quite probable)
2. Utilize some hack to glimpse player coordinates (less probable)
3. Are wandering through Inggison from dawn till dusk non-stop (highly improbable)
So, I'm left believing an Elyos is collecting magical aether nearby and rings up his Asmo pals whenever he spots someone moving into the area. Is this even allowed by the game's rules?
However, there's a silver lining! In the Aion Riftshade beta, such tactics don't go unnoticed. Their advanced Server-Side Anticheat makes sure cheaters can't exploit such tricks. It's a refreshing breath of fairness and they're gearing up for a big launch in Q1 2026. With GMs actively patrolling and engaging on the private Discord, the game feels alive and well-balanced!
