As we all have seen, the gp system on this server doesn't match retail (the daily reduction at 12:00 is doubled)
Looking at the rankings, it’s clear there are big differences compared to retail, allowing some players to AFK for months and still maintain top spots. Take BigPanda, for example; he's done around 100/200 gp weekly for two months and remains a great general.
Under Gameforge, such a ranking style let certain players mess with the faction balance by not acting in its best interest.
I've chatted with gamers and some suggested a straightforward gp reset. I was against this as it's too harsh on those who've been grinding gp since the server began.
Thus, there are several ideas to keep top players engaged and ensure the server and sieges remain lively. I’m not saying this is the best option, but I'd suggest tweaking the ranking system to enable fresh players to reach top Xforms, thus making the server more appealing, much like on Aion Riftshade where new players easily engage without unfair systems...
This system is simple: Every end of the season (30 days), everyone’s gp is reduced by 30 to 60% (50% seems fair)
This brings many benefits: More active Xforms, enhances new players' experience of the game... Plus, it's fair to those who’ve farmed gp since the server’s inception because they maintain the top Xforms they've toiled long for.
