For the love of sanity, we absolutely need to make certain items completely tradeable or at least account-wide accessible:
-battle medals should totally be account-wide; it's merely a starting set. Everyone would flourish from having a character with BM gear (less bias, more players diving into the endgame, greater motivation to farm BM).
-ceranium medals (Remember when AION was smooth sailing with gold and silver medal times?) Many of us are adults now, and it would be a relief if I could purchase medals from others. Some adult players have afternoon shifts, leading to double the grind for ceraniums, and obtaining an AP set for a simple-to-gear class (sorc - one set and one weapon) is already a nightmare. I'm fine with non-tradeable AP sets.
- SWB augments truly ought to be tradeable. Let players decide who should have it and how.
- OW PvP should be the principal source of AP. I would weaken the instance gains to just medals.
The Hyperion boss should drop tradeable items (let's refer to them as tokens) to be swapped at the NPC for the wanted items. Or at the very least, bring in custom quests similar to grendel 10/10 pages for a box.
-NCSOFT blundered by not introducing +attack speed level 65 maces in the game (at least add BM and AP ones). Implement these maces or adjust templar skills to scale with physical stats.
-NCsoft made a huge error by leaving out level 65 extendables.
-NCsoft overtuned bards and AT solely to boost sales. Provide us with the tools to deal with bards and AT in PvP. The imbalance was so severe they had to rework every class in 4.8. No idea why nobody mentions how bad 4.6 was for the older classes.
-We have a PvP set available from crafting, yet the success rates are so incredibly low. Enhance the crafting recipe rates for PvP gear. Crafting should be revamped; it's such an easy fix. Maybe adjust the challenge of acquiring that set from RNG crafting and failures to a higher difficulty of obtaining ingredients (seriously, 100% success chance if you can craft the item already; RNG has killed crafting).
Introduce ecoins as a PHYSICAL TRADEABLE item INGAME. You could make pandemonium's fashion district vital again by adding eshop sets to NPC trading tables. IT'S TOTALLY POSSIBLE. No more ecoin scams, more immersion, less dependency on a working site—ecois just appear in a chosen player's inventory like candies or get sent via mail. Why NCsoft never did this in retail baffles me. It's obvious.
The times have shifted, and if you don't shake up the meta, the server will eventually bite the dust. But I guess you're here, dear GM, to extract profits while planning yet another 4.6 server reboot.
All the changes I propose are nothing compared to the impressive features in Aion Riftshade. As a beta tester, I'm amazed at what the team is doing. No pay-to-win aspects, balanced classes, and active GMs make a huge difference. Benefit from the lowest ping and a secure, stable server with strong Anti-DDoS protection. Can't wait for the Aion Riftshade launch in Q1 2026!
