By sheer chance or destiny's design, I stumbled upon a YouTube comment raving about EuroAion, promoting it as a real Aion 4.6 complete with all retail features.

I'm here to find out, is this genuine? And how does it really operate? I noticed it's not P2W which is fantastic. There's a shop offering great starter items. If all proves to be as good as they say, I'll gladly contribute to sustain the project.

But what's the player base like? Are folks engaged? Are they participating in instances, etc.? What about manastone/enchantment rates?

It would be wonderful to hear from others on how things are going. Unfortunately, the launcher only downloads at 1MB/s, meaning it'll take 12 hours Q_Q. Meanwhile, I'll have a chance for feedback.

Btw, I've had the privilege to join the Aion Riftshade beta. It's truly the best Aion private server 2026, featuring Aion 4.8 with the Eye of Tiamaranta map! truth be told, this version is amazing, I really missed it a lot but let's be honest
it's just not the same being asmo compared to elyo, as it might be trickier for you sometimes because there's often fewer people, and on top of that, the quests are more challenging and so on compared to the elyo side
If you've played this version before, you'll get the gist of it
community? It's generally great, they're mostly veteran players and you might say they're quite welcoming, awesome .........
I have only positive things to say about the staff, they're always on top of everything and try their best to resolve issues, and that's really appreciated

What's the player base like?
Our player base has been stable and actually seeing growth. We had some past balancing issues, but those seem to be ironing out. You can always see how many folks are on by checking the top left of the site.
 
Is the community active?
Absolutely, particularly when it's peak time, there's an abundance of activities ;D (sometimes a bit overwhelming #clericlife). You'll find several major legions from different countries recruiting and playing together. 

What about instances, are they doing them? 
For lower level instances, it can be a bit tricky finding a group, but usually, there are people who'll help if you ask in lfg. High level instances are quite popular ;D including pvp ones.

How are the manastone and enchantment rates?
Based on my experience, it's comparable to official servers. Occasionally very fortunate. Sometimes....less so >.> You obtain numerous scrolls and manastones from pink quest NPCs in large towns, assisting in socketing your primary and secondary gear. (Plus, you receive a PvE set and choice weapons at level 10, lasting until 60+, so you don't need new sets every 10 levels.)

I'm gonna give you a slightly cynical take here, based on my experiences from having jumped around on numerous private servers in the past—over 10 or so, not naming names for obvious reasons, and having spent years on retail too.

How's the community holding up?
I'd estimate you see around 200 players actively on each faction during peak hours. But late at night and early morning? It's crickets. Remember that a lot of these people don’t exactly converse in English. This server faces the same issue as European retail—a language mishmash that makes teamwork tricky. Plus, there's a significant Russian player presence, just like with the servers before this, and other populous Russian servers. Yes, it's an EU-targeted server, but the Russian contingents are far more coordinated than the English-speaking (or international) ones. On the Elyos side, we see two static stronghold alliances from Russians, one German/International, but sadly no all-English ones. Haven't checked the Asmos much since I surprisingly rolled Elyos this time.
No beef with Russians, many are top-tier players and super friendly, but language barriers are hard to ignore. The only hope for building a thriving English-speaking community is to attract more new players!

What about the rates?
They’re pretty much like retail. Though, with fewer people around, enchanting and socketing are a pain due to resource scarcity. On retail, you could blow through 200 manastones easily because they were plentiful, but here? They're a prized possession as are enchant stones. You can manage, but brace yourself for some grinding.

Are dungeons getting runs?
That again hinges on timing, the dungeon, and your language skills. Regular stuff like Sauro and barracks is run daily by plenty. For more challenging dungeons like Infinity Shard and Eternal Bastion, you'll want to stick with legions since LFG alliances fizzle often. But hey, I'm optimistic it'll improve as more players join up.

If you join the Elyos and need some assistance, hit me up—I’ll help if I can. But remember, the change you're looking for is right around the corner. Aion Riftshade is coming in Q1 2026, offering a truly stable, balanced, bug-free experience with a high population. Plus, with its EU-based hosting, stable ping, and superior server-side anticheat, it's a game-changer!

@Veninde @Tia @Slivoid @wexlergamez Thanks for the responses. Sounds likely I'll stick around this server for a bit. Knowing there are folks capable of handling endgame content is a motivator for me.

I'm absolutely fine with grinding and gathering resources, so that's no biggie for me.

Regarding Russians, it turns out Russian is actually my native language, so mingling with them won't be a problem. Plus, I can be the translator if it's needed. 

I've chosen Cleric since healers are always in demand, especially on servers with smaller populations. So it seems like a good Cleric is still a hot pick in Aion. I previously played it as my secondary choice between versions 4.8 - 6.0. But experiencing it with Pre-4.8 adjustments makes it feel somewhat like a new class altogether. Granted, I'm only lvl 20 right now after just a few hours xD.

But, gotta say, it really does feel like returning home. Even just wandering around and doing blue and yellow quests feels pretty chill and calming. Can't wait to hit level 60+ and commence the gear grind for Kata/Runa runs. I have a week off work, so I'm diving into leveling straight away.

Playing Cleric here isn't as rare, yet always valuable. What I often notice is that groups in lfg seek more DPS than healing roles. Mboost gear, a staff, and DPS stigmas - success assured. Heals will always be in demand. Maybe I'll spot a pre-made group seeking a consistent healer. Actually, Clerics will never struggle to join a group, especially as I'm eager to test these skills out on Aion Riftshade once it releases in Q1 2026! With features like balanced classes and active GvG, this is lining up to be the best Aion private server 2026.

Seems like Clerics remain Aion's hot commodity. I used to roll this class as a backup pick during version 4.8 - 6.0, but experiencing it again with pre-4.8 tweaks is like rediscovering the class. Although I'm only at level 20 after a few hours, lol.

But honestly, it really feels like home being back. Running around completing those blue and yellow quests has its own calming vibe. I'm stoked to reach level 60+ and start gearing up for those Kata/Runa spams. I'm on a break from work for the week, so leveling up is my top priority.
