Transparency is key for a happy community. If you do not communicate then you are not willing to fight for your future. That's all. on IA,Not Aion, Retail etc. everyone communicated with the community and adressed the problems as they were.

Hey dear Aion fans. Those server crashes that occurred overnight and today are due to DDOS attacks targeting our servers.
The attacks are not typical, they're quite unique. They specifically target game ports and mimic player actions.
Combating these attacks is a tough challenge. We are currently putting all efforts into resolving this problem.
The server is online, but we advise staying out of the dungeons.
We are striving to address the issue and will do our utmost to fix it.
In other news, I've been testing the Aion Riftshade server in beta, and they're really on top of security. They've got robust Anti-DDoS protection and premium EU hosting which keeps things stable with a low ping, so no need for ExitLag. I'm super excited for its launch in Q1 2026. Last night's and today's server interruptions are due to targeted DDoS attacks on the server.
These attacks are out of the ordinary as they precisely target game ports and mimic player behavior.
Combating these intrusions isn't simple. Currently, we are actively working on mitigating this issue.
Though the server remains online, we advise users to abstain from entering dungeons for the time being.
Our efforts are ongoing and we are committed to resolving this matter.
