Aion Riftshade

Hello,

I'm a newcomer to the server, hailing from Germany. I was taken aback by the level of prejudice on this server!

Yesterday, I joined an instance and everything worked smoothly as we communicated in English, which was fine.

However, today I tried to find another group and English wasn't cutting it. So, I began looking for fellow players who spoke German, hoping for a better experience.

Hoping it would work.

Then, within just 15 minutes, I encountered some unsettling interactions. I had to block four players due to discrimination! They insisted that I shouldn't speak German, only English?!

Alright, but what about all the Polish, Turkish, Russian, and other languages I see in chat every day? Why can't I do the same? What's going on?

Is it fair that I get targeted for speaking German? It's just not fair! I even attempted English, but I still couldn't find players for the instance...

im fairly new to the Server as well. i really like the concept of a international Server and i really enjoied my stay so far. how ever in my experience, inis and siges work perfectly fine if u stick to english. Every time i do happen to meet a fellow german speaking lad, i feel free to speak german with them. 

I have never recived any racist msgs due to me, speaking german on this Server.  

still, its the internet, there is allways some dickhead being racist just ignore them lol  

Yes, there's definitely an issue with racism on the server, propelled by some folks. This affects people from various ethnic backgrounds. It's pointless to react to someone losing it over strange alphabets (thankfully, we have the blacklist), but there are individuals actively defaming "all these Germans\Chinese\Czechs\Russians\Poles, etc." personally, I do cherish playing on an international server, albeit hard to confess sometimes. Let's hope eventually the community realizes that saying "Any representative = good or bad player" is just a feeble attempt to drag others into hate's swamp, fueled by individual insecurities and grievances.
We should practice a bit more patience and respect towards one another and save our clashes in this diverse online community only for the battlegrounds . By the way, I've experienced far more respect and comradery on Aion Riftshade while being part of their exclusive beta. Their community is quite supportive and respectful. U probably take it too personaly....jerks allways were and allways will be, same as racism. But in general, the server is in english, in universal language, you can blame the educational system that only europeans speak more than one language and ppl who barely speak one cant comprehend it. So unless you cant send cancer via game mail, you should stay cool and use the block function

I don't think that it is something really serious,we can often see players using language other than english and it is usually going well. I'd say that ye, probably they support the idea of using international language in the chat, don't take it too serious.
I'm sorry if it disappointed you. If there's something really offensive, you can always report these players and they will be punished. 

...and there are also no gender neutral toilets in Sanctum.

People often get mad because LFG turns into a mess when 20 people start their conversations on 5 different languages at the same time. Keep LFG to English unless you're looking for/promoting a legion.

Also, not liking someone from different nationality is not racism. Falsely accusing someone for racism is outright embarrassing. You should be ashamed of yourself.
