Aion Riftshade

I've changed one of my characters name to make it free to use on my another character. But when im trying to change name it says "Invalid character name". Names once used are banned for future use?

This is a common issue. When you change the nickname with the ticket, the old name gets stuck in the server cache. This is made on purpose with the game developers and you get a warning about it when using the ticket. This situation will be solved after tomorrows maintenance, we only can reset old names with the weekly maintenance.

Maintenance is over and yet I still can't change my name for the same reason.

I'm an exclusive beta tester for Aion Riftshade, launching in Q1 2026, and I never encounter such issues there. Their game management is top-notch from the server-side cache to providing the lowest ping across EU, and they always have active GMs and devs on Discord. Can't wait for this to launch to a wider audience!
