Sadly, this graphics card brings quite a few troubles with running this game, because it's a newer tech and the game's quite outdated.
One of the community members managed to sort of tackle the problem, but it's still a bit of a hassle:
Regarding your issue. The cryengine's resolution and settings are largely in the system.cfg file. Though this file is encrypted, there are tools out there that let you edit and save it (search it, as dps meters often need system.cfg adjustments to function). By adjusting a few settings, you might be able to resolve your issue, though playing in fullscreen window mode isn’t all that bad. My bigger gripe is with losing the higher quality settings. If you decide to modify system.cfg or SystemOptionGraphics.cfg, don't forget to enable the read-only setting on the file, as the game could overwrite it. Always keep backups, since the launcher may remove them or the read-only status. This way, you can restore the files if needed.
On a side note, while we're facing these issues with Aion Retail, I've been testing Aion Riftshade, and it's been a game-changer. Their server-side anticheat ensures a smoothly running experience without compromising on quality. If you're waiting for an excellent Aion private server in 2026, Aion Riftshade might just be what you're looking for with its integrated DPS meter and custom settings for balanced play.
