Hello Daevas,
Syd here, your Product Manager for Aion Classic at Gameforge. I wanted to take a moment to update you directly on what's happening behind the scenes, what we're planning, and how we're addressing your feedback for the remainder of this year.
First, let's talk about the roadmap.
Later this year, we're aiming to release Update 4.0 in late October/early November. This major update will bring a variety of new content and features, including the Luminess class, two new PvE instances, a PvP instance, and a completely new map that will become the central activity hub. You'll also see many QoL improvements across the board. To make your experience with the update even better, we're directly combining it with Update 4.0 Part 2, which includes important class balancing changes, many of which are based on your feedback about Luminess and the overall balance in Part 1. This combined release should feel more refined and enjoyable from the start.
Additionally, we have something special in development: a unique, time limited event server currently planned for release in late Q4. This server will be based on the Wind Server you know from other Aion Classic regions. The regional settings for this project are still being worked out, but we'll share more information as soon as possible.
Now, let’s address some of the ongoing issues you've raised:
We’ve started holding regular meetings with our game ambassadors, and they’re going really well. These conversations have given us valuable insights into your concerns and priorities and serve as an additional source of input alongside your feedback collected by our Community Managers. As a direct result, we have already submitted several regional change requests to NC. These include improvements to item and kinah drop rates, as well as adjustments to make certain difficult encounters more manageable. Once these changes are confirmed, implemented, and tested, we’ll share all the details with you. This is part of our ongoing commitment to making your daily adventures in Atreia feel more rewarding and to acting on your feedback wherever we can.
Faction balance also remains a priority for us. We understand the difficulties, particularly for our Asmodian players. To help balance factions, in early August we're introducing catch up mechanisms specifically designed to help them gear up faster and compete more effectively in Balaurea sieges. Additionally, we're currently designing targeted events, including special boss spawns that will make it easier to earn kinah and obtain competitive gear for the Asmos. As already announced by NC, a Faction Change Ticket is currently being developed and is set for release with Update 4.0 Part3 which, in EU, is currently targeted for release in Q1-Q2 of next year.
Regarding game crashes, we acknowledge your frustrations. NC is currently still investigating this issue. Similar problems have recently been resolved in Aion Live, so we're hopeful for sharing progress soon. Your patience is appreciated, and I assure you that the problem is not ignored.
Cheating remains a challenging and sensitive issue for all of us. Since releasing Update 3.0 in November, we've permanently banned over 5,000 accounts for explicit cheating and botting. We know it can feel frustrating seeing suspicious activity continue despite these efforts, but rest assured, your reports genuinely help us in the fight against cheaters. Please continue using our official Support Platform to report such activities, as this is the only accepted method. Discord, unfortunately, isn't a suitable place for this. When submitting a ticket, please always include an unedited video or screenshot clearly showing the behavior, along with the exact timeframe when it occurred. Please understand that each ban requires clear, indisputable evidence as mandated by legal standards. This strict process can sometimes make it seem like nothing is happening, but every report you send is thoroughly reviewed. Your continued support and vigilance are crucial to this ongoing battle, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation.
Your feedback genuinely matters, and we’re continuously working to improve Aion Classic for everyone. Thank you for your continued support of the game. We’re excited for you to experience all the new things we’re preparing and look forward to the adventures ahead.
Until next time,
Syd
Product Manager, Aion Classic
