Daevas, we recently announced that we are planning some improvements to manastones. With the upcoming Update 3.0, some of these manastone changes are about to be introduced. We are aware that both the availability and mechanics of manastones have been a contentious issue within the community. We take your feedback seriously, and have been working with the developers on a solution which will not only deliver a better gaming experience, but will fundamentally improve the way that manastones work.
Revamped Manastones
There will be a fundamental change to the way that manastones work in Update 3.0: previously socketed manastones will no longer be destroyed if you fail when adding a new one. This will greatly reduce the risk of losing a valuable manastone.
In future, it will be possible for you to swap out manastones easier without severe consequences. This will make equipping and optimising your gear more flexible and less costly. We hope this will give you more opportunity to try out different playing styles without having to worry too much about potentially losing valuable stones.
Regional Changes and Availability
Until now, farming manastones could sometimes prove to be a somewhat cumbersome task. Starting with Update 3.0, manastones will become more available and there will be a broader palette of in-game activities through which they can be acquired.
Specifically, this means that manastones will not be limited to drops from certain monsters or regions, but that there will be other game mechanics where you can acquire them.
The regional distribution of manastones will likewise be changed, ensuring that there is opportunity to find manastones in different zones and activities.
Enchantment Stone Changes
In addition to the manastone changes, we’re making some smaller adjustments to enchantment stones. These will also be easier to acquire from Update 3.0, in this case by improving the drop rates and expanding the options for purchasing them. This should ensure that enchantment stones are no longer a bottleneck when developing your characters, but without impacting the game balance.
What This Means for You
The changes to the manastones and enchantment stones is aimed at giving you more flexibility. There will be more manastones, these will be easier to handle, and you’ll have more options for acquiring this vital resource.
Anyone wanting to improve their gear from Update 3.0 will not need to invest as much time and effort in acquiring the necessary stones. At the same time, the core game mechanic is being preserved, ensuring that finding the right combination of manastones remains an important strategic factor.

We hope that these changes will improve your gaming experience and make life in Atreia easier.
