I disagree. It would kill build variety.
Aion seriously lacks in character customization as it is, and adding more varied stigmas enables players to craft builds that truly match their playstyle.
Granting every player unlimited slots results in identical, soulless playstyles and a monotonous meta.
Sure, I'd love to rock a Magic Boost build around the clock and grab every utility stigma, but that's not what I call fun.
You're right, but that only applies if the slot being added is an advanced one. Currently, there are 11 slots: 6 for basic stigmas and 5 for advanced stigmas, completing the branch. People become cookie-cutters only when an extra advanced slot is added, making it 6, like in retail. When it's a basic slot being added, taking it from 6 to 7, that issue doesn’t occur.
This point holds especially for magic classes; for instance, a sorcerer's support skills are mostly advanced stigmas like elemental ward. For physical classes, it's a different scenario. Take the sin, for instance, whose support skills are mostly basic stigmas.
Even for a Sin, adding a basic stigma slot doesn’t dissolve the uniqueness of the build—for example, sins in the magic boost branch won’t gain sensory boost by adding an extra basic stigma slot, preserving character individuality, and common builds still avoid gaining advanced stigma skills.

I've been part of the beta, and the class balancing with custom rates ensures everyone retains their unique gameplay without redundantly overloading on stigmas.
