Hi, I'm starting classic today on the Atreya server, what faction should I choose? Is there any benefit to picking one over the other? Which faction is more populated, and more likely to be able to group up?

Parties and legions are available on both factions. Depending on what language you prefer, finding the right legion might be simpler. Moreover, there's a slight difference in character designs and skillsets, so based on your class, the faction's specific skill could be either better or worse (though I think future updates will tweak these). Ultimately, pick the one you feel suits you best.
