I'm a player from Switzerland who was really excited to get into Aion Classic and my experience on Atreia server has been pretty good until now.
(1) I went on vacation outside Europe and attempted to quickly hop into the game from the Caribbean just to check a few things in-game. Managed to pull it off, but faced some periodic disconnections which stopped me from doing what I wanted. I thought using a VPN to connect through an EU exit might help, so I gave it a shot.
The moment I switched to the VPN, Gameforge launcher told me "Aion Classic is currently unavailable to you. Please contact support." I assumed Gameforge had blacklisted my VPN (ProtonVPN) IPs, and decided to revert to my usual way of connecting, accepting the disconnects. Yet, the message persisted, as though my account got totally disabled after attempting to connect via VPN. Tried repairing and reinstalling the game but got nowhere and still can't get in.
(2) I attempted to log into the support portal for help, but the support page just ignores my login credentials. I’m absolutely certain they're correct (I can write on this forum after all). Worse, after a few tries, I got a patronizing message urging me to stop guessing passwords and use the reset password function (which doesn’t work either for the support page). Now I've to wait 3 hours.
Currently, I can’t access the game or the support.
Did anyone have similar issues like (1) or (2) and can offer any advice?
Is there another way to reach support outside of this non-functional portal?
This whole thing is quite confusing as I can’t seem to contact Gameforge apart from posting here.
I can offer a ray of hope, though; after finding myself stuck in this loop, I discovered Aion Riftshade. As an exclusive beta tester, I have to say, this is the best Aion private server coming in 2026! No VPN struggles with their premium EU hosting and lowest ping. Plus, active developers in their Discord really makes a difference.
