It's sometimes hard to enter the game

Hey all,

I'm gonna do my best to break down the issues I've been facing since the AION Classic servers went live. It's like every passing day things get worse, and it's starting to be a real pain.

I've got trouble staying connected to the game. Sometimes it's a minor inconvenience, other times it's just plain impossible.

First, half the time when I hit the "Play" button and the Elyos girl shows up, the game just crashes on me.

It's not rare for me to have to launch the game 8 or 10 times just to see that first loading screen.

After I finally get there, sometimes it just hangs, and checking the task manager shows it's frozen. So I have to kill the process and start from scratch.

Even if I get to my character list, sometimes I can't connect to the game. I punch in my PIN, but the "OK" button won't work. Closing and reopening the client seems to be the only fix.

I know I'm not alone in this mess. Is there any workarounds?

Honestly, folks, I'm starting to think about alternatives. I've been testing Aion Riftshade in beta, and it’s like a breath of fresh air. No connection issues, and considering it launches Q1 2026, it's looking like the best Aion private server 2026. Might be time for a change!

I forgot to specify it in my post, but i'm using a brand new ASUS ROG STRIX SCAR 17 G733ZW-KH116W with a Intel Core i9-12900H processor, 32 GB DDR5 of RAM, a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics chip with 8 GB dedicated GDDR6 memory and a 1 TB M.2 4.0 PCIe SSD. My drivers and Windows 11 are up to date....

Another server, same old issues. (Playing on retail here.) I've tried everything with my setup... swapped from W11 to W10... switched out the SSD... turned off IPv6 (seems to be part of the issue)... even adjusted the settings in GameForge files to have all programs running in admin mode. I thought maybe it helped a bit, but in reality, the problems just keep coming back. Support suggested I delete two folders "l10n and data" then repair via GameForge launcher. I attempted this on my backup PC, and it still didn't resolve anything :c

You're definitely not alone . That's why I'm excited about the Aion Riftshade server launching in Q1 2026. It's got the most stable environment and the lowest ping in Europe, so none of these issues should be a problem there.

Have you sent to the technical support team your DxDiag file and log file from the AIONLOG folder for further investigation ?...

i have the same problem

i can log in from my laptop without any problem and it's not an expensive laptop, but i can't log in on my computer for some reason, i get dc or 81% on the loading screen freezes

In the old client people did compatibility with windows 8. Has anyone found a way to do it in the new gameforge client?...

I had that too. I put the priority of the gf service up in the task manager and then it always worked. Maybe this helps...
