Aion Riftshade

Hi!

After talking about coming back to Aion for about 8 years me and my brother and a friend decided to download Classic.

Anyway, after downloading the GF Client, I pressed on the button for Aion Classic and ... well, nothing happens!

I only get a pop-up that lets me choose a place to save the files (on D:Aion) and after doing so and clicking Install, nothing happens.

Can anyone help me? I tried a few stuff, such as setting the launcher to a higher priority, etc etc.

My PC is very much capable of anything since I am doing 3D - Modeling and Animation, never had an issue with anything. Really would like to be able to play along with my friends

So, after working on it for a what felt like a week we found two solutions. But for them to work you should either have Aion Classic installed on a different computer or a friend who has it already installed and working on his/her computer.

1. Option: Download TeamViewer for private usage and simple drag their aion classic folder onto your computer. This will start a download from theirs to yours and after downloading simply press the "add game" button in the gameforge client and select the folder where you installed the files. It will start verifying - at the end you should be able to start aion classic.

2. Option: Instead of downloading it, simply get the files on a memory stick. Plug it in and copy the files to your Drive. The rest is the same as in option 1; add the game and let the client verify the files.

We can now play Aion together and its actually a lot of fun hope this helps someone as a last resort!
