After today's Asteria/Roah raid, it seems settled that the new siege rewards in AION classic EU 2.0 will not be tradeable. If I am not mistaken, the same medals are tradeable in Aion classic NA 2.0, via reward chests, which would mean that GF explicitly asked for these changes in EU. And to be honest, for the life of me, I cannot understand why anybody would do that. The lvl 55 elite armor set costs about 500-ish medals. Even a player who goes to every single raid and gets the best reward every single time would need to farm months to complete this, without the ability to buy additional medals from the broker. Simultaneously, unwanted and unused medals will pile up in the inventory of players that do not want to pursue the lvl 55 set, without any use at all, effectively removing the reason to join raids in the first place for those players. Why put a new set into the game, then change the medal system in a way that makes it unattainable for like 95% of the playerbase? I really hope we get the same tradeable siege rewards as NA classic, or in the very least some feedback on why those changes were implemented and how we are supposed to get the lvl 55 gear.
