The client does not open

Hello everyone, I'm going to try my best to detail the issue I'm facing.

When I hit the Play button, the Aion symbol appears, but the game itself doesn’t start. (It occasionally loads after multiple tries, often requiring up to 10 attempts.)

On occasion, when it does load, it gets stuck on one of two images and sits there indefinitely for hours.

Upon forcibly closing Aion, it shuts down but the Gameforge client still shows it as active despite it not appearing in the task manager.

I end up having to terminate Gameforge through the task manager before attempting to relaunch the game. This means going through all the steps from scratch each time.

Attempting to repair Aion through Gameforge, the process halts at 99% and won’t continue. I left it for around 3 hours before having to forcibly shut it down. After fully removing Aion from my system and likewise purging the Gameforge application, I conducted a fresh Windows installation. I reinstalled my drivers before downloading Gameforge and Aion Classic once more. Yet again, the download halts at 99% and refuses to progress. Even after trying to repair, I'm stuck with the same result. Consequently, the problem persists, and I'm eager to resolve it.

Code Good morning, I don't have a solution for this but you are not alone. I have exactly the same problem. It works after several tries when you close the game with the task manager. But it's definitely a problem with the client....

yeah, there's actually a solution for this problem. The issue stems from layer incompatibility, leading the game to crash or not launch correctly—like freezing at 81% or the client failing to respond. I discovered the fix on the official discord, shared by another user. All you need to do is create an entry for the aion.bin directory in the AppCompatFlags\Layers registry.
