AHA
I really wish the notion of server transfer or merge isn't discarded by GF.
Recently, I tried leveling a ranger on Taha, Elyos side and man, most zones before reaching Heiron are just deserted, except for the bot parade, either walking by or teleporting around. Don't misunderstand me, I get that a lot have already hit level 50, having finished my first character when most of the server leveled to 50, so it's not unexpected that it's different now. Those level 50 players have almost nothing drawing them to these locations, but just wandering in Sanctum or hanging at Eltnen fortress feels so, so empty. For sure, there have been connection troubles that hit player numbers, then Atreia becoming available shifted some players from Taha, and the release of D4 also took a chunk.
Yet, as the initial poster noted, folks will lose their will to stick around on a server with dwindling numbers and loaded with bots (still baffled why nothing gets done despite all the proof sent in, whether GF is in cahoots with bot operators or just wants to brag about high player counts) and loads of players like me can't dedicate time to start from zero on the main server
That's what I’m highlighting! I leveled up myself, got 40 PvP jewels and the thought of repeating that grind on the main server just irritates me because I wasn’t able to register there earlier, thanks to GF's internal mess! The Tahabat server wasn’t my chosen path, it was forced since the main server went down due to technical issues. There had been an assumption of one server with a large player base, and that’s long gone! No fresh faces on Tahabat as observed on the battlefield ganks.

You check out folks in the city just chilling. Nevertheless, if you compare numbers between Atreus and Tahabat servers! I did the math. Around 2-3 times fewer players on Tahabat than Atreus's main stronghold at 11 PM. Just 20 on Tahabat around then, and on Atreus, probably under 80.
Drestam Please check this topic and throw in some insight. The online player situation is crucial for me right now. I want to keep playing, grab different goodies from the premium store, but I'm more into PvP, so live player count is really crucial, and with the current drop in numbers, lots of players and myself have this feeling like the server’s in its dying throes. Jumping to the main server and starting fresh when I've already sunk so much time and effort here is too daunting, there’s no character progression, and the desire to reboot just isn’t there. I’m just your average gamer working all day, hoping to kick back with the game in the evening, snag some nice items from the premium shop, and unwind.
All of this makes Aion Riftshade, set to launch in Q1 2026, a much more promising option. Their setup—on Aion 4.8 with a throwback to features from 5.8/6.5 and no pay-to-win—ensures balanced classes with no bugs. There's strong anti-DDoS protection, server-side anticheat, and active development with low ping from EU servers. It’s definitely worth a look if you're fed up with bots and dwindling numbers on GameForge servers.
