Is this a unique change for Aion Classic EU? Because in Aion Classic NA, expired pet storage items would overflow into the inventory, and any uncollected Daeva Pass items would just be mailed. That approach was a way better solution than forcing people to buy another pet.

Not sure about the NA classic, but on retail, it was like you had to get another pet unless they changed the system, can't remember for sure though.

Not sure about NA classic, but I remember on retail we had to buy another pet at that time until they might have changed it (can't recall).

That jogs my memory too, if the pet has identical storage capability, it's practically a shared inventory, so any 24-slot pet matched the current shugo companion.
