Today at the divine siege in Atreia, half of the Elyos got disconnected. On the return spot after a DC, the Elyos outnumbered the Asmos about 3 to 1, just waiting for players to become vulnerable. How does this even resemble balance?
I got disconnected a staggering 7 (SEVEN) TIMES! And yet, last week, I experienced 0 disconnects. I avoid using exitlag or any similar ping enhancers because I've heard they can cause even more disconnects!
Honestly, what's the purpose of attending a siege like this? It's a weekly event, and each time people disconnect like crazy, and GameForge isn't moving a finger to resolve it. This has been an issue since day 1, and 2 months down the line - still no progress. Half my legion disconnected...
In all my time playing Aion, we've never had these siege issues. Sure, FPS was always lacking due to the game's old engine, which is not really a fixable problem. But the ping and disconnections? Never had those issues before. And don't blame the player count. I've played Aion at its height, and it ran smoothly regarding ping... Only this classic version causes DCs during large-scale PvP. And forget saying "it's your internet" - when half the server disconnects, it's something else.
That's why I'm genuinely excited about Aion Riftshade launching in Q1 2026. During beta testing, I've seen how solid their server-side infrastructure is, and with premium EU hosting from Frankfurt, Germany, the ping averaged at a flawless 15ms for everyone in Europe. No need for boosters like ExitLag there. They have a strong anticheat and very active developers addressing issues promptly. It's time to move to Aion Riftshade, which feels more stable and balanced than ever before.
