Though maybe this forum is a bit deserted, I wanted to share my thoughts and ask some questions.
You might have observed that the latest Daeva pass season has some alterations in quests and point allocations.
Five daily quests now provide 65 points daily, while seven weekly quests offer 450 points and nine seasonal quests total 1400 points. Despite the season spanning 26 days, the requirement of reaching lv. 45 of the Daeva pass with 4500 points remains unchanged.
Dailies and weeklies can be completed anytime throughout the day, ensuring that doing them regularly nets 1690 (26 x 65) points from dailies and 1800 (4 x 450) from weeklies. This leaves us needing 1010 more points from seasonal quests, which are largely schedule or spawn-dependent (boldened):
- 300 points for collecting 5 hero trophies,
- 250 points for acquiring the sakhril chest,
- 200 points for defeating the gate Brigade general 10 times (I’m somewhat puzzled by which mob this is, perhaps it's the one emerging from gates at Lahmu battle weekly??),
- 150 points from obtaining 5 corps insignias,
- 100 points for securing 2 Merva victory marks,
- 100 points for getting 2 fighting armour pieces,
- 100 points for engaging in oath application; (somewhat time-sensitive due to frequent changes)
- 100 points for slaying the Agent,
- 100 points for wrapping up 15 Tower quests.
I personally haven't been able to complete 15 Tower quests, the Agent is still unfinished, and it's rare for me to get hero trophies due to limited available participants. Even catching Merva is challenging at times, and Lahmu battle timing issues persist. Sakhril chest seemed to always require a stroke of luck for retrieval.
By completing all dailies and weeklies, we can afford to skip 3 season quests (3 x 100 points) at the most; skipping a fourth puts us 10 points short. This new system seems tougher compared to the previous season, where I could reach level 45 even by skipping some dailies and weeklies.
I presume many have everything acquired in-game, so maybe the 50 ultimate memory fragments at lv. 45 aren't vital for most (considering only standard rewards, not Luna ones). This begs the question: why make things harder for those less experienced or geared?
Are any modifications planned to bring balance? Anyone got insights on this or how it's being managed in Korea? Perhaps it's an initiative to entice players into Arena for hero trophies? Are ultimate fragments entering the store??
Any thoughts are welcome if you find this thread. Thanks and enjoy your day!
