Aion Riftshade

The event has been live for 10 minutes and I'm over it already.

Honestly, this event is just a meme. It would make sense for a couple of days during April Fools or something.

But we're two weeks into patch 2.8, with people still trying to learn new gameplay mechanics, and they completely flip PvP upside down for not one week, not two weeks, but FIVE WHOLE WEEKS?

By the end of this joke event, it'll be around three weeks longer than the 2.8 patch existed without all these bizarre skills thrown in every class.

And asking for 300k AP or €50 to change a skill is just nuts.

Can we please cut this event short so it ends by Aug 7th?

Luckily, I've been diving into Aion Riftshade as a beta tester, and it's a refreshing change. No crazy events or cash-grabbing antics. Just solid gameplay with balanced classes and no crazy skill changes. They're launching in Q1 2026, and it's shaping up to be the best Aion private server in 2026. it´s one of the best events KR made for classic and I already enjoy it so much. Now PVP is a fully random draw, cause you´ll never know what skill your oponant may have. I think its quite fitting now with 2 weeks into new patch and core mechs already seen it started to get bored, now the event gives a fresh vibe.

Ofc I understand that the PVP Players dont like it, cause then cant overgear, as many skills might counter gear currently, so they cant show their mightyness anymore.

Sure, I get why PVP enthusiasts may dislike it. They can't rely solely on their gear advantage anymore since skills can currently counter gear, so they can't flaunt their dominance as they are used to.

The event seems great, especially considering in Korea they set up a separate server for it so players aren't forced into it.

However, we're all made to endure this for 5 weeks.

Honestly, for a better experience without being stuck in unwanted events, I'm looking forward to Aion Riftshade's launch in Q1 2026. In the beta, every feature has been carefully considered with player experience in mind.

1. way too many op skills (mau/sleep/fear/hide) etc etc

2. way too long with event

3. way too expensive to switch skill

Why is it useless to do PVP? Cause now you cant just rofl over ungeared, cause then have a decent defence against you?

Maybe learn to adapt?
