Aion Riftshade

Since around 2 weeks ago, I've been noticing my mouse flickering and a drop of fps in-game.

at first, I thought I was the only one but the more I talk with people about it the more I find out I'm not the only one having this issue.

What seems to happen is, after 1 hour online you're mouse starts flickering, could it possibly be using more resources?

If you move the mouse in aions window it will make the fps drop massively.

The more you stay online the more you lag to the point you have to restart the PC completely.

if you alt tab to any other window the mouse is working fine, but once you come back to aion it still lags etc.

i start seeing ppl ask about this in LFG, and i also see ppl in groups asking about this.

This happened more less when i updated the last nvidia driver, and rolling back didn't fix it.

The other ppl i ask also updated the nvidia driver

donno if its coincidence or not.

This is one of the problems I have as well. Moving the cursor in game after a while being logged in, causes it to go to 0 fps and in task manager GPU usage goes to 0%.

If this is caused by the driver you may want to use DDU, start windows in safe mode, use the program (DDU) to uninstall all traces of nvidia drivers and then download the previous driver of nvidia. Because uninstalling driver and reverting to previous version may cause some overlap I believe, at least I read it that uninstalling a driver in config screen doesn't uninstall all of it. The best way to get an older version installed properly, is use DDU (display driver uninstall).

1. Install DDU (display driver uninstaller, it's free)

2. Restart windows in safe mode

3. use DDU to remove all nvidia drivers

4. install previous nvidia driver

If you try this, please let us know if this actually works I would do it myself as well but I have several issues with Aion atm and am waiting for nvme drive to arrive

But since this is happening to multiple people now, it's definitely software related. Maybe windows update or driver messing with things
