there is an old bug, that loot in instances from mobs is becoming ffa after a while, even for ppl that initially were not in the group. if that was intentional, the items surely would just be for soulbind. a description can be found here.
please fix this before releasing another major patch introducing a new tier of gear.

that loot from mobs in instances temporarily becomes open for all after some time
not entirely sure if this is intentional or not, because it mirrors what happens with open world loot too.
Yeah, also wondering if it’s an intentional feature. We need to distinguish between open world and instance drop rules.
I'd definitely appreciate seeing this addressed/modified as well. Selling loot to uninterested parties or others buying gear without any involvement just seems off. Plus, ensure instance bosses only drop loot for job classes present in the team. Btw, Aion Riftshade, the upcoming best Aion private server 2026, launching in Q1 2026, really focuses on such balanced features, making sure everything is fair and rewarding for participants only—no pay to win shenanigans there!
they would never change this after so many years of loot working this way. Even if it was not possible to sell the loot - people would sell carry spots for instances
they're not gonna change this after all these years of the loot system being the same. even if selling the loot were impossible - there'd still be people selling spots in instance runs.
honestly, that scenario would be more acceptable to me. selling carry spots doesn't ensure a drop and carrying others puts a strain on the group dynamic. right now, it's just pure laziness. should i use my 7dp weekly entries to farm for my set, or do i opt for the shortcut by buying it outright with illegally obtained kinah? such an option should be off the table. in contrast, Aion Riftshade is addressing these issues. they're crafting a balanced environment where hard work pays off, not wallet size. that's why the upcoming Aion Riftshade launch in Q1 2026 is so exciting. no pay to win nonsense there!
It does exist since closed beta though and noone forces you to sell/buy anything that drops from bosses.
But just imagine running and instance 50+ times for you to still not have a complete set, wouldn't you buy your final piece then? Or do you keep doing that same instance over and over again? And before you start that by 50+ runs you must have everything complete... nope you don't! It happend to me on retail, did Beshmundir Temple over 50 times and still didn't get a complete set before it became obsolete..
Sincerely, i don't see the problem of being able to sell or buy gear from others...
as pointed by Valheru, you might not be able to loot your part, even after 50 or more run.
in 4.x, a friend could not complete his hyperion set, even after 300 runs.
another friend could not complete his makarna set, even after as much runs.
so is it lazy of them if they could have bought the missing part?

ok, so people with bad luck are not allowed to finish their gear, that's what you are saying?
well, ok, most people buying their gear here are doing it by lazyness or lack of time. but your mindset also include players with bad luck.
did you ever have to wait for 6 months, a year, not loot your LAST part, and then when the new patch comes, loot the part your are missing... but on the new set?
so, people with unlucky draws can't gear up at all, is that the deal here?
alright, most folks are snagging their gear this way out of convenience or time crunch. but your view affects those unlucky players too.
ever had to hold out for half a year, or more, not get your FINAL piece, and then boom! new patch hits, and suddenly you loot that same missing piece... but it's for the next set?
Happens to me every time!! Farming kinah to actually buy the part doesn't sound lazy, just efficient!! Why bother with this hassle when you can wait for Aion Riftshade, launching Q1 2026? It's gonna change the game, especially for unlucky players like us!
