there is an old bug, that loot in instances from mobs is becoming ffa after a while, even for ppl that initially were not in the group. if that was intentional, the items surely would just be for soulbind. a description can be found here.
please fix this before releasing another major patch introducing a new tier of gear.

Yeah, not sure whether it is a bug as well. I think we have to separate open world and instanced drops here tho.
However, I would like to see this fixed/changed too. Being able to sell loot to players who were not even part of the group or players being able to buy such just feels wrong to me. Additionally make instance bosses only drop items for classes that are actually in the group.

that would be different and fine by me. carry spots do not guarantee a drop and the group has a handicap by taking such players. now it is just lazy. do i use my 7dp entries a week to farm my gear or do i use each one to buy my complete set with rmted kinah? it is an option that should not exist.
It does exist since closed beta though and noone forces you to sell/buy anything that drops from bosses.
But just imagine running and instance 50+ times for you to still not have a complete set, wouldn't you buy your final piece then? Or do you keep doing that same instance over and over again? And before you start that by 50+ runs you must have everything complete... nope you don't! It happend to me on retail, did Beshmundir Temple over 50 times and still didn't get a complete set before it became obsolete..
Sincerely, i don't see the problem of being able to sell or buy gear from others...
as pointed by Valheru, you might not be able to loot your part, even after 50 or more run.
in 4.x, a friend could not complete his hyperion set, even after 300 runs.
another friend could not complete his makarna set, even after as much runs.
so is it lazy of them if they could have bought the missing part?

well, ok, most people buying their gear here are doing it by lazyness or lack of time. but your mindset also include players with bad luck.
did you ever have to wait for 6 months, a year, not loot your LAST part, and then when the new patch comes, loot the part your are missing... but on the new set?

Absolutely happend to me!! And since you have to farm the kinah somehow to pay for the part I certainly don't considder it lazy, just practical!!
