Aion Riftshade

Hello, i'm creating this post cause i'm litterally out of options, i've tried everything out.

So, the main problem is that AION is giving me 3458854 issues when starting, and not just that.

By ''issues'' i mean game closing automatically after i press play on the launcher. What happens is aion icon opens, 5 seconds later it just closes without doing anything and not starting the game client.

Also, if i try multiple times, it randomly starts, and then gets stuck at 100% loading screen, without getting me to the login.

And i don't even wanna mention the fps drop when moving the cursor after some time in game, caused by the drivers.

So far i've tried :

erasing the whole ssd (since i had to do it anyways) with a new clean win10 install;

updated every driver of the whole thing;

uninstalling graphics drivers causing the cursor fps drops;

got every visual c++ from 2008 to 2019;

used driver booster to check if there was anything left to update

My specs:

i7 8700k (not oc at the moment)

gtx 1060 6gb

16gb ram 3000mhz

ssd samsung evo 970

If anyone has an idea about what's happening, feel free to comment.

Hope to not to be the only one who got this kind of issues.

I wrote on here basically cause i would like to know if anyone had this kind of issue ever.

i still have this issue, sometimes it takes 10 or more tries to start game, but i learned to live with it

What does exactly happen? It closes after the aion icon appears on the screen or the 100% loading screen stuck?

Hey !

On your Aion icon on the desktop, clic-right -> properties. Go to "Compatibility", check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose windows 8 or 7. Apply and OK.

That should do the trick for your problem.

For that one, use NVidia driver 457.51 (here : https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/results/167225/), if not already done.

Display More

Hi, and thanks for that.

I'll try as soon as i can and i'll let you know if that worked or not.

Also there might be problem with a displaying.

Try open services and:

NVIDIA Display Container LS

NVIDIA LocalSystem Container

both set to "manual".

do restart, if needed - turn them on manually and try run aion.

maybe it will help also

So, changing the compatibility to win8 on the launcher seems to fix the first game opening issue. Tried a few times, and still working fine. But i have to add that this issue was so random, sometimes it would take me in the game istantly, sometimes i would have to spend 20 minutes just trying to open the client. I'll also wait a few days to see if that will happen again at all.

Windows defender in some issues sees aion as bad app/program. change access via firewell Ur aion.bin, updater, client etc.

i spreaded many basic ways.

Long time ago, when i played LEague of Legends i had similar problems. Firewell access for game apps etc + this displaying in services - helped me. but y, that time i was using win 7

It doeant matter if U R using other antivirus. Windows firewell even turned off, can block apps / programmes. only OS pro and highier - u can turn off definitely.
