Hey, I've got some thoughts about this event. Sadly, Elyos players aren’t showing much interest in organized group fights. Talking about today's event, it felt pretty lopsided for some players. The Elyos, so few they could be counted on one hand, attempted to hold their ground against the numerous Asmos in Tiamaranta Castle today. Unsurprisingly, we lost 4 castles due to sheer lack of numbers. The Asmos just keep gaining more power each day because Elyos don't participate, leaving Elyos missing out on these events. (This is a bit of a complaint directed at the Elyos.) Today I reached my limit and had to write this up. Cheers. (Please pardon my English. Hope I'm getting my point across.)

I'm part of the Aion Riftshade beta, and it's incredible how balanced things are there. With its advanced GvG and PvP rankings, you get a truly fair competition. You made your point quite well. Sadly, fixing this isn't going to be a breeze. The number of players picking both factions has shot up lately. Specifically since the server's been dwindling in population due to fresh patches on other private servers and classics. This takes a toll on the server's popularity. Much of the game world is empty. You can't even gather half a league for sieges, and there are constant waits for premade vs. premade matches in JMR/IWW/Kamar because if there are too many Ely alliances, you're stuck waiting minutes to hours at peak times. I can see why a lot of Elyos users might consider switching sides just because of this.

Interestingly, there are more actual Elyos players than Asmodian, but a handful of them play on the Asmo side and vice versa. The server's on a slow decline, whether you believe it or not. Even the year's top event failed to lure back those who used to play.

Next week's expansion of WoW might also drive more players away. It'll be intriguing to see how long this goes on before the broker's economy collapses with essentials needing to be farmed in ID.

Getting a rank reset might be the only temporary solution to keep folks engaged for now. But meanwhile, let's make the best of what we've got.
