Hello,
I was wondering what would be the best to socket and why? Is it better to go for crit? If so, then how much crit is required? Also, what’s better to socket in pvp and what’s better to socket in pve?

Hello,

Full physical attack.
Simply because A) You won't do a lot of damage with crit if you're lacking physical attack, and B) Crit is pure RNG, don't understand why you'd want to rely on pure rng when you can have sweet ol' reliable physical attack :D.
It's your choice, some people will tell you to go Crit Strike, but if you ask me, that's just rather silly.
If you do want at least some crit, go for 30% max (with food). That's plenty.
At the moment I have a mix of crit and physical attack hitting around 38-40% crit chance. But I might refill for full physical attack if you say it’s better. Still not completely convinced though
Well, i dont recommend to go with full phy. attack. Templar isnt class for full dps and has very low benefits from only attack. This class, IMO, should focus more for crit chance and try to use the strongest skills with sword + shield for better crit multiplier (2.3x, GS has 1.8x). If you go with full attack manastones, even with full leg. grade you will gain some 1k attack with some 20-22% crit chance from food and the rest sources (i.e. the best roll stats from end-game gear). 10-15% more crit chance changes a lot with longer battles (oh, i mean of course for pve side of game, for pvp probably full/almost full attack is better). If you crit average once per 3 hits (33% so ~85-90% crit manas) - you should have advantage some 5-7k dmg per hit over full attack manastones (where you crit average once per 5 hits with ~1k attack more). You can do your calculations with hypothetical numbers (average attack of templar is 20k no crit dmg per hit from skill, without several the strongest skills like ankle blow or punishment) and evaluate when you should insert some attack instead full crit.
Just writing from my experience playing templar almost 6 years and comparing a lot of dpsmeters from different combinations. Rather avoid extremes (full attack or full crit, this isnt efficient).
Btw. templar's dps is nerfing (now that nerf for divine fury stigma, core for dps, something like nerf for band of painter with 7.3 patch - at least 25-30% nerf dps) with each next patch so if you think about nice dpsing - this isnt class for you IMO focus more for your survivalibility skills during dps (and holding aggro) where you dont need completely heals even versus the strongest bosses or that ;P IMO, this is role for templar (and shielding the most important chars when are in danger of course). Well, such my digression at the end (i have seen so many templars thinking only about dps and they dont care whats happening with the rest of party - why templar? better glad in this case) xD
Think about it like this
If you have more attack your skills do more damage (crit or non crit)
If you have more crit your skills are more likely to crit (which lets you deal more damage, 1.8x more damage if you crit with greatsword, 2.2x for sword)
If you have a short fight <30 seconds especially, you having more crit = your skills have more chance to crit = you're gonna crit more and do more damage because of the crits you just got
over an extended fight having 40% crit and rest in attack is a good balance as it equals itself out.
I myself have decided to socket nearly full crit, I have around 8k without any buffs/transforms (only minion active) and I like it, I'd rather crit more especially when dpsing with sword as the damage spike you get is insane.
You can test how much attack affects your damage, use skills on a level 80 hero dummy unbuffed, then use emp fury and check the dmg increase, then do the same with emp fury/divine fury, I get roughly 10% dmg increase with damage from being unbuffed to having both buffs on
Misto May I ask what sort of attack/pve-attack stats you have in a (permanently) buffed state and whether you have more than 15% cubes in instances?
Do not forget that having high crit rate in PvP against clerics with phys deff stones wont help you much if your physical attack is low, you may crit more but it will have sh.t damage.
Of course you could use +15 pvp wep against them that has socketed physical attacks etc., instead of extends. Testing on dummies for pvp wont help in real fight, better test on friends in duel n so on.
Just for the note , 1 physical attack is equal to 1 pve/pvp attack, so does 1 phys/mag deff is equal to 1 pve/pvp deff.

Full sockets are as follows 1173 attack vs 4386 crit (with red stones in every socket)
Your example for cleric
You're not gonna kill a cleric with high static damage, you need good rng crits on your best skills, critting more = more KD's etc
How about what stigmas for templar in PVP build and what daevanion skill should I focus in enchanting for PVP aswell.
I know during pvp shield is very important, but what stats should i roll for my sword and shield, what manastone should I also have in there.
Also for my armour and accessories, which 4 stats should I roll, phy/magic def, crit and hp? or maybe also magic resist?

at current state of game your standard set should roll:
armor + bracelet/feather: hp, crit, mdef, pdef
Acc + wings: hp, crit, pattack, precision (more precision = more knockdowns)
Currently I'm also testing around with having more or less crit socketed. In PvP I'm right now running 7,6k crit (black feather gs), 7,2k (dumaha extendable)
But I still haven't got all armor +15 and I'm still not fully socketed.
