First of all get level 80 and if you don't have friends to carry you, make sure you do the quests in Lakrum that give you some basic gear.
Pve
At first you can solo Narakkalli for ancient gear
Then you can join a group for Holy Tower that gives ancient and has chance to give a legendary item that you need.
When you get some gear from these, you can create or join a group to go to Makarna Of Bitterness or Prometun Workshop (not difficult) to get a lot of legendary gear and some ultimate parts. After you get some parts you can join a Stella (easy mode) group.
Once you're getting quite good geared, you can start thinking about Prometun Workshop (Difficult) and Stella (normal mode).
PvP
In lakrum you can do the garrison quests to get Genesis crystals. You can also join sieges and do lugbug mission quests that give genesis crystals.
In the lakrum main base of your faction you can buy a full ancient PvP set with these crystals. This gear will be the only PvP gear you need to get because you can upgrade the ancient PvP to legendary and then to Ultimate. You will need a lot of AP, etium and enchantment stones to upgrade them.
After you have all the PvP items you need you could use genesis crystals to buy ancient pvp enchantment stones.
Stats
As a cleric you'll want to focus on HP, heal boost and defensive stats. There are some, but DPS clerics aren't common anymore. You can reroll stats on gear to fit what you need. On armour, you can roll HP + defensive stats (or HP + offensive stats). On mace/shield and accessories you can roll HP + healing boost + def/off stats.
Other things
- Buy 6x deavanion fragments each week in lakrum main base (cost 480k AP), you can craft those 6 with 100 genesis crystals to create a daevanion skill chest.
- Do dred/rt/illumiel/sieges everyday, even if you lose you will get a lot of reward
- Do neviwind whenever it's available.
- After you obtain some gear you can go to hererim mine to get a lot of AP
Legendary contracts
- Transformations are very important in this game, they replace the old running/cast/attack speed scrolls and will make you very fast and give offensive/defensive stats. Ultimate (extremely rare) > Legendary (Rare untill these elite rewards) > Ancient (common from events/open world grind). Make sure to get your 2 free weekly scrolls from the Aion shop each week. Once you get a Legendary you'll feel much faster.
- Currently there are elite rewards that give you a legendary contract (10 types). You can open the aion shop ingame, click on the 3 blue bars in top right corner and click on "veteran rewards" to see what your current veteran level is. The Legendary contract is available at 20/20 after you unlocked 80/80, so 100 minus your current level is the amount of gold packs you'd need. The Elite rewards are staying up for 3 months so you have time to gather gold packs in this time (you can buy them with ingame money or real world money).
