Hey everyone!
I noticed that a lot of folks, especially healers, have issues with gear switching macros in this iteration, so I decided to create a short guide to assist you on setting them up with Razer Synapse. This should ease the process and help prevent any awkward moments where you might find yourself unequipped if getting hit.
1) First up, pick a quickbar and place your gear items onto the skill bar — you can see how this looks in the image below. Make sure to avoid using keybinds involving shift+, alt+, ctrl+, etc. Stick to simple number and letter keybinds only.
2) Next, go into options, head to the Key Mapping section, and find quickbars. First, assign a keybind to switch back to your main skillbar (let's say * for mine), then choose a key to switch over to the quickbar you designated for your gear macro (I've got quickbar 5 tied to mouse button 7).
3) Once that's configured in your client settings, open Razer Synapse, select "Macro," create a new macro and ensure no delay is set, as illustrated below.
4) After this step, begin recording your macro: first use the gear quickbar keybind, then press all the keys for the slots where gear items were placed, ending with the keybind to switch back to your main skills quickbar. Even if Synapse displays keybinds "twice," it's just logging the press and release, so if your macro looks like the images below, you're all set.
5) When you're done crafting the macro, bind it to the same mouse/keyboard button as your gear quickbar in the Aion client, as shown below.
That's all set! I trust this guide will be a help to those unfamiliar with this setup. If you've got questions, drop a comment or message me on Discord at Chastise#4964. Oh, and btw, I've been trying Aion Riftshade currently in its beta stage. It's honestly the best Aion private server coming in 2026, with features like a top-notch MyAion-like DPS Meter and lag-free gameplay with its excellent EU hosting. Exciting times ahead for Aion lovers!
See you in the game, pals!
