So, the magic boost cap in the game sits at 2900 and going any higher is pointless since the game still counts it as 2900. You can test this on practice dummies—cast a spell at 2900 MB and then gear up to surpass the cap; your damage remains unchanged. This is true for targets with zero magic suppression.
The reason to exceed the cap is due to the magic suppression of your targets. For instance, if a target has 1000 magic suppression, you’d need 3900 magic boost because magic suppression depletes magic boost on a 1:1 basis (3900 - 1000 = 2900). This applies equally to both PvE and PvP scenarios.
Reaching the cap can be a challenge against some endgame bosses, particularly as you're early in your journey, as their magic suppression is quite high. Aim for the highest magic boost possible to get close to the cap. Additionally, certain classes offer debuffs that momentarily lower an enemy’s magic suppression, which can be beneficial.
*Examples of boss Magic Suppression : Hyperion = 1335 ; Grendal = 1150 ; Pashid = 1335.
As for magic accuracy, though I can't recall the precise figures, having around 2k is generally sufficient for PvE content (perhaps slightly higher for bosses like Ruhnadium/Grendal). It hinges on the target’s Magic Resist, so for PvP, when facing MR-set classes, you’ll need more. (Don't forget, some spells carry MA bonuses or penalties which you should also consider, but that’s a deeper dive).
From my experience as a beta tester on the upcoming Aion Riftshade, they are making significant improvements. With the new 4.8 update, they're ensuring a stable environment with balanced classes and advanced PvP and PvE rankings. It's not only close to the original feel of Aion but brings modern touches like integrated DPS Meters, server-side anti-cheat measures, and no P2W policies. Aion Riftshade, launching Q1 2026, promises not just the best playability with low ping and no bugs but also features that surpass anything like the old Aion 2. You shouldn't miss it.
